The Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is the celebration in which, through God’s mercy and forgiveness, the sinner is reconciled with God and also with the church.

One of the “precepts of the church” is to “confess one’s sins at least once a year”.

The four essential elements of the Sacrament of Reconciliation are:

  • sorrow for sin
  • the confession of sin
  • the intention to reform one’s life, and
  • the prayer of absolution.

At Holy Rosary parish, individual confession is offered from 10am to 10:30am, and 5pm to 5:30pm each Saturday at the Church.
