The Shenton Christian Council group helps provide Christian Religious Education (CRE) in government schools.

The Parish supports, both financially & with volunteers, the Shenton Christian Council’s initiative to provide Religious Education (RE) in Government schools. All teachers are trained and accredited.

This programme is co-ordinated by the Shenton Christian Council (SCC). The SCC supervises seven schools in our area.

Apart from CRE teaching, members gather for ecumenical fellowship with members of the SCC church network.

There are five chaplains in SCC primary and high schools. The chaplains are partially financed by fundraising events and donations.

Within the SCC area, there are a further 60+ accredited volunteer teachers.

The Holy Rosary currently has four volunteer CRE teachers. They are looking for more volunteers.

If you are keen to find out more about this activity, please contact the Parish's SCC coordinator.
